April 1

Dear Parents and students,

Thank you so much to all the parents and students who joined their child(ren) today for conferences. It was so wonderful to see so many happy students with their parents. It is a wonderful opportunity for parents to engage in the learning process with their children and interact personally with our teachers. A huge thanks to all the teachers who prepared students. We appreciate the presence of all parents and students who participated in this learning event.

Many thanks to the Wellbeing Council and Ms. Shez Billet for a wonderful Well Week. We hope you were able to see the decorations in the Unity Courtyard and enjoy the wellness vibes from the week.

Here are a few of the students who dressed for Wednesday’s “Show Your Culture” Day.

Cabaret:

Cabaret, our student body’s annual showcase of their jaw-dropping talent is back this year! This year’s theme is “AISC’s still got Talent!” and our performers are continually reminding us how true that is! This has been a long time coming, but it will be great for us to get together and celebrate our resilient community.

We are pleased to welcome all parents, students and faculty members to the show. As per our current protocols,  if you are not vaccinated and wish to attend the show, please contact Mr. Ryan McFarland (mryan@aischennai.org) for exemption information, and be prepared to present a recent negative RT-PCR test to enter campus.

We look forward to seeing you at the FAC Theater at 6:30pm on Friday, April 8th!

Math Class Choices for next year:

If your child is an independent thinker, shows extraordinary skills, and has a high level of motivation to learn mathematics, you might be interested in learning more about our process for exceptional math students here. If you have any questions please feel free to contact your child’s math teacher.

Homework Club:

Homework Club Session 3 started on March 22nd and will end on May 21st. It will happen on Mondays and Fridays from 3.45 pm to 4.30 pm. Use the sign-up form here to enroll in the HW club. Avail the opportunity to get expert guidance from our HS tutors.

Repeat information: Library Use

The library is once again available to MS students before school, during breaks, and during lunch. Students must sign in when entering in order to assist in contact tracing if need be.

Repeat information: Mark your calendars: Portal Project - Parent Sessions

We are excited to introduce a speaker series for parents starting in November called Parenting Beyond the Pandemic. These virtual sessions will bring experts and practitioners directly to our parent community to address a variety of relevant topics. The full list of sessions can be found here and the titles below. Registration for the sessions will take place through Eventbrite.

Have a great weekend!

Take care,
