Friday 19 October

Principal’s Notes
19 October 2018

Dear Parents,
Greetings from Athens, Greece, where I am attending the NESA Fall Leadership Conference with AISC’s Leadership Team. Keynote speakers are focusing on education for the future, the impact of culture on education and student wellbeing. This conference provides us the opportunity to hear from renowned researchers and authors in the field of education as well as time to connect with colleagues from other international schools. We hope that our learning here will continue to help us develop our current programs for students, meet strategic goals and continue to live our mission.

Halloween Party
The Middle School Halloween Party is Friday, October 26 from 5-6:30 pm. More information will be provided to students throughout the week.

Passport Collection
For this year’s Week Without Walls trips, we will collect passports and visas differently than in previous years. There will be four drop off times for documents before students depart. The collection point will be in the BBT. Drop off times are:
            Tuesday, 23 October, 8:00am - 9:00am
            Tuesday, 23 October, 3:00pm - 4:00pm
            Wednesday, 24 October, 8:00am - 9:00am
            Wednesday, 24 October, 2:00pm - 3:00pm
We request that parents drop off your child’s current passport and visa paper/residence permit/OCI card during one of these times. If your child is traveling with the SAISA Swim Team, bring your child’s passport to school on Monday morning before departure. AISC staff will sort the passports and secure them on campus until departure on Monday, 29 October. During the trips, advisors will have possession of the student passports. Upon returning to campus, parents picking up students will need to get the passport from the student’s advisor.
