Grade 8 WWW Parent Meeting
Just a reminder to parents that there will be a Grade 8 Week Without Walls parent meeting on Monday, 6 October at 3:45 in the BBT. The Grade 8 Team team will present details regarding the trip. This is a great opportunity to talk to teachers who chaperoned last year's trip. We are looking forward to seeing you!

From Middle School Students
Last week, I read a great little article that summarizes very well about what Middle School students are like and what they would want to share with you. Please take the time to read it: Top 15 Things Your Middle School Kid Wishes You Knew.

Hosting SAISA Students, from Ron Thompson
We need your help. In just about a month from now, we will be hosting SAISA Swimming. We have approximately 150 visiting students and still need to host 90 more students. We are asking our AISC Parent Community to help us make this happen. If you can host two or more students please let us know as soon as possible. As usual we can provide transportation for those willing to host four or more students. So please let me know if you can host a coach or students at your home on 29 October to 2nd November.

Food Service Update
We have been trying different menu options for both ES and MS/HS students.  We had altered the ES menu this month and removed fish options as there were not many takers for fish. However, we have received feedback from a few parents to put back fish options in the menu and we will definitely do so next month.

This month, we would like to highlight the following offerings:
  • Our FAC Cafeteria now has a Dosa on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Wrap counter on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We also have a sandwich bar in the I-Hub and FAC and ES cafeterias everyday.
  • TMFK has a soup counter daily in both the ES and FAC cafeterias.
  • Thursday, 9 October, the FAC cafeteria will have a live pasta counter.
  • TMFK will serve Korean food on Mondays and Thursdays and Thai on Wednesdays. There will be a chicken and a beef option every day.
  • The Parent MC CafĂ© is now open from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Should you have any questions with regard to food service, please email Josephine Ronald – directorpersonnel@aisch.org.

Looking ahead at next week...

Have a great weekend and see you at Big Bad Blue.
