Dear Middle School Parents,
You should have received an email with the instructions to access the second-trimester report. Please take the time to thoroughly look through the trimester report and read the student reflection from your child and feedback from the teachers. It should provide you with more information of what your child is doing well and what s/he needs to work on for the next trimester. Should you have any questions about any of the classes, please feel free to contact the subject teacher. In case you missed the email, here are the links:

ASIAC Theatre Performance
We are hosting the ASIAC Theatre Festival for the first time where welcome students from the American School of Bombay (ASB) and the American Embassy School (AES). Students from all three schools will work with professional artists on Friday and Saturday and they will put on a final showcase performance on Saturday at 6:30pm. All are welcome.
Elective Forms
It is that time of the year when we are planning for next year already. Students will begin to select their elective classes for next year. Students were given their elective form in their advisory classes on Friday, 9 March. The form will be due back to the Advisors by Friday, 16 March Grade 6 and Grade 7 students. Please take the time to discuss these important options with your children.
From HS Counseling Office
Here is the link to the presentation that was shared with parents at the Grade 8 Parent Coffee on Monday, 5 March. Students have their forms in hand and extras are available in the HS Office as well as in MS Counseling Office. The forms are due by Friday, 16 March. We welcome any questions that students and/or parents may have!
Scholastic Book Fair
Scholastic Book Fair is back! We hold our book fair in the Unity Courtyard Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (8:30-4:00) this coming week. There are lots of great titles to choose from! This year, Scholastic is also selling an eBook collection for parents who are interested called BookFlix. This program pairs interactive fictional video storybooks with related nonfiction eBooks. If you are interested, please see a Scholastic representative at the fair.
Middle School Coffee
Join us next week for the MS Parent Coffee on Tuesday, 13 March at 8:45 in the Hall of Light, where Ms. Gold and Mr. Ranson will share the Lifestyle Survey results with parents. The Lifestyle survey contains information such as, but not limited to tobacco and alcohol, eating and sleeping habits, body image, screen time, homework and stress. Ms. Gold and Mr. Ranson will share what the middle school students have self-reported.
STEAM Fest
Our Middle School STEAM festival will take place on Thursday, March 15 from 1:00 - 3:00pm! All are welcome to attend to come and see our creative design solutions. The festival is a celebration of student design, creativity, and problem-solving! Attendees can come to see models, watch presentations, and ask questions to learn more about the projects of our Middle School Engineers.
Each letter below represents the block that your child is taking science. For example, BD-6 represents Grade 6 students who are in Science in Blocks B and D. They will present from 1:15 -2:00. Please come at this time if your child takes grade 6 Science in either Block B or D. Guests will be provided with a map, a list of participants, a schedule of events, and a set of feedback prompts for presenters.

Lost and Found
All items for Lost and Found will be on display at the main entrance just outside the Main Reception area from Wednesday to Friday, 14-16 March. Please also check in the Main Reception if you are looking for electronics and valuables.
Yearbooks Pictures
Yearbook pictures are ready for purchase. You may view the pictures via this link. Pictures taken in January 2018 are in a folder named Session 2. Password for the gallery is raptors18.
Please use this Yearbook Order Form to order pictures. Instructions are on the form. Please complete the form, make payment at the cash counter and submit the form to the respective section office.
The last day for orders is 28 March 2018. Prints will be ready for pick up after 16 April 2018. If you have any questions about the ordering process, please contact the HS/MS office.
