Dear Middle School Parents,
We’re looking forward to see you next week at the E-Portfolio Presentations and Conferences on 20 & 21 April. Students will have either a 1:15 or 2:05 E-Portfolio presentation slot on Thursday, 20 April. Parent-Student-Teacher conferences will begin at 3:00pm on the same day until 6:00pm and all day on Friday, 21 April.
Between your conferences, please remember to stop by the Middle School Celebration of Learning. We have some very interesting projects that you don’t want to miss. We would like to recognize the students who will be presenting as well.

MS Parent Coffee
Please join us for the last parent coffee of the year on Tuesday, 18 April in the Hall of Light at 8:45: “Making a Good Goodbye.” Ms. Jen Gold, our counselor, will focus this session for departing parents and discuss ways to support your children and yourselves through this time of transition and resilience building. Please feel free to attend even if you are not departing in June but know that you may depart in the not too distant future.
MAP testing starts Monday morning, 24 April. Please remind your children to charge the laptops each night, especially during testing week. There is no preparation required for MAP testing. We do, however, recommend that students get adequate sleep and a good breakfast before they come to school for the MAP test.
Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) Testing: 24-26 April and 3-5 May
Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) is a computerized adaptive test. Students will take tests in Reading, Math, Language and Science. MAP tests students with engaging and age-appropriate content. As a student responds to questions, the test responds to the student, adjusting up or down in difficulty. Our team uses the data to inform instructional decision-making for increased student growth and achievement.

High School Theatre will perform their production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, by Bertolt Brecht, on Thursday, 20 April and Friday, 21 April, at 7pm
High in the Caucasus Mountains, the tiny nation of Grusinia is plagued by civil war. Fleeing her burning city, Grusha, a serving woman, discovers an abandoned child. In a desperate act of mercy, she takes the baby in search of safe haven from the chaos. The road ahead of her holds many dangers: betrayal, cruelty, and soldiers hunting the child—but even those dangers pale when child’s true mother returns to find him.
Thrilling, funny, and touching, Circle is suitable for audiences from upper elementary and older. Tickets on sale at the main entrance from Monday, 17 April for Rs. 100.
