Friday May 10

Principal’s Notes
May 10

This week we continue to celebrate learning in the middle school. Tuesday we held our final music concert of the year for our band and guitar program. Our art exhibition opened this week, and our basketball and swim teams are competing in Delhi in the final ASIAC tournament of the season. We thank our teachers who have dedicated their time to coaching our students in sporting events this year, directing student music and theatrical productions, advising student clubs and organizations, and guiding students in discovering their own artistic expression. Our electives programs and co-curricular activities are important aspects of our program that develop versatility, resilience and leadership in our students.

MS Art Exhibition
Come check out the Middle School Art Exhibition! This show is for all middle school art students, showcasing at least one amazing work by each student who took an art course this year in middle school. Works displayed will include paintings, sculptures, mixed-media creations, and technology projects. We encourage everyone to come see the show! The exhibition will be up until May 17th.

Wednesday May 15: No Early Release
In an effort to minimize any further disruptions through the end of the school year, please note that we will have a full day of school on Wednesday, May 15th. There will be no Early Release as published on the Community Calendar.  In the MS, we will continue with our regularly scheduled classes.

Parent Guest Speaker Thank You!
The sixth grade had a special speaker this week, Mr. Brian Hvolbøl Mikkelsen from the Vestas wind power company. He came to speak to us about the science of windpower as well as the engineering involved in creating the world's largest wind turbines. The students were intrigued to learn so many interesting facts about the turbines themselvesas well as about the clean energy potential of wind. Thank you Mr. Brian for taking time outof your busy day to come speak with us! We learned so much!
