Principal’s Notes
May 3
Dear Parents,
Than you to everyone who joined us for this afternoon’s MS Chior and Strings Concert. We thank Ms. Deborah Lee and Mr. Carey Stewart for their support of our students in our choir and strings classes. Next week, we will follow up with our final MS Band and Guitar Concert of the Year. The MS Art Exhibition will also open next week. More details about this event are below. Lastly, students will attend one more MUN conference in Mumbai this weekend. We wish them all the best as engage with global issues with a wider audience!
In an effort to minimize any further disruptions through the end of the school year, please note that we will have a full day of school on Wednesday, May 15th. There will be no Early Release as published on the Community Calendar. In the MS, we will continue with our regularly scheduled classes. Students will continue with instruction through the last week of school. The last day of school, May 31, will be a MS Wellbeing Day and include grade level end of year celebrations. More information will come through grade level teams as the last week approaches.

Art Show Opening
Please join us at the opening reception for our Middle School Art Exhibition on May 7th from 3:45 to 4:45 pm immediately following the MS concert. This show is for all middle school art students, showcasing at least one amazing work by each student who took an art course this year in middle school. Works displayed will include paintings, sculptures, mixed-media creations, and technology projects. We encourage everyone to come see the show! The exhibition will continue from May 7th to May 17th.
Student Recognition: Sustainable Development Goal Challenge
Congratulations to Amrita Giridhar and Esha Desai on being awarded the TASMUN X SDG Challenge Secretary General Prize for the best video! Their video highlighted the work of AISC's MUN Impact Club, including students Serin Kim, Heewon Hwang, Sanjana Kumar, Sangwon Kim, Umair Nizamudeen, and advisor Pepper McFarland. In addition to the recognition for taking action and raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals, their award also consists of a monetary contribution to a charity or non-profit of their choice that is related to their project. We're proud to see them living AISC's mission, empowered with the courage, confidence, creativity, and compassion to make a unique contribution in our diverse and dynamic world.
